Bollywood bombshell and actress Sherlyn Chopra has filed a police complaint against some unknown persons who have been harassing her for the last 7-8 months with the Crime Brach and the cyber crime cell of the Mumbai Police.
According to the complaint filed on behalf of Sherlyn Chopra, by her business and media managers Bollywood Brands, Sherlyn has been receiving threatening and vulgar calls, messages, emails and instant messages (over the internet). In her complaint she has alleged that an event manager from a well-known event management firm, known for organizing “strip shows” in Dubai has been threatening her to either join his group or face dire consequences. “He threatened to put up morphed and digitally altered nude images of mine on the internet if I didn’t accept his overtures and demands. He had offered to pay me Rs Ten Lakh per ‘performance’. I first ignored him, but then he began fulfilling his threats by putting up my digitally altered and semi nude images,” Sherlyn claimed.
Outrageous Sherlyn Chopra had recently represented Bollywood at the Global Mobile Awards in Barcelona where she met Hollywood legend and Indecent Proposal star Robert Redford and Grammy award winning lead rapper Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. Both of them were very impressed with her music video Outrageous and invited her to “collaborate” with them on future projects.
Flynn Remedios, Sherlyn Chopra’s Media Manager and CEO of Bollywood Brands said that when Sherlyn did not succumb to his demands and avoided his calls, he began calling and messaging her from different nos. When she just refused to answer such calls, he digitally altered her images taken at the recent PETA Press Conference and posted them on message boards and websites. “He had even put up her cell phone no and photographs on some escort websites abroad,” said Remedios.
The caller/email sender had claimed that he was very well connected to several politicians and has big business men for his clients. He claims to own an event management firm called Masti Events located in Dubai and claims that he organizes shows in Dubai and in the European and US regions. He also claimed that he has many other well-known actresses as his clients who perform “private strip shows for him”, said Remedios.
Sherlyn has alleged that she was harassed, mentally tortured and threatened by a group of persons who claim to have contacts with various organized crime syndicates operating from overseas. She has submitted clinching and crucial evidence to the police along with her complaint.
